This illustration series invites you on a journey with Uniqlo by visually intertwining food and culture. We hope to evoke emotions and memories that transcend physical travel, crafting a sensory experience that resonates deeply with people.

Daniel Tingcungco is a Filipino illustrator celebrated for his vibrant artwork that resonates globally. He gained acclaim for his series “100 Views of Saigon” and, more recently, “100 Views of Tokyo,” which masterfully captures the essence of each city through his unique artistic lens. Much of his work celebrates the joy of travel and exploration, highlighting local architecture, cuisine, and the everyday moments that define life in diverse cultures.

Japan

🇯🇵 Picture this: a steaming bowl of ramen right in front of you, loaded with all kinds of tasty toppings just waiting to hit the spot. You've got juicy chashu, perfectly soft ajitama eggs, and vibrant naruto and onion leeks that really bring the rich broth to life. You can almost feel the noodles being lifted with chopsticks, giving you that perfect moment before you dig in. On the side, there are crispy, juicy gyoza and a refreshing cup of green tea to complete the meal. All of this is set against a charming noren with “Ramen” written in katakana, and the paper chopstick cover boldly says “Japan,” like a little ticket to this amazing culinary experience!

Hong Kong

🇭🇰 Check out this amazing Hong Kong breakfast spread! Picture a round table piled high with mouthwatering dim sum. You’ve got steaming bamboo trays filled with bean curd dumplings, juicy xiu mai, and savory barbecue char siu buns, all ready for you to dive in. To top it all off, there’s freshly brewed tea alongside a sweet, golden lava bun that’s the perfect treat to finish your morning feast. And don’t overlook the order sheet with “Hong Kong” printed on it—it adds a fun, authentic vibe that really makes you feel like you’re in the middle of this delicious culinary adventure!

Singapore

🇸🇬 Check out this classic Singaporean hawker table! Right in the spotlight are piles of chicken and shrimp satay skewers, all drenched in a rich peanut sauce that looks absolutely delicious. Next to them, you’ll find dark, flavorful Char Kway Teow noodles sitting alongside steaming bowls of laksa, perfect for warming you up. To wash it all down, there’s a tall glass of Teh Tarik, ready to cool you off. And below it all, a towel with “Singapore” printed on it gives a little nod to those famous Good Morning Towels, reminding you to wipe away your worries while you enjoy every tasty bite.

South Korea

🇰🇷 Take a look at this traditional Korean samgyupsal BBQ setup! You’ve got shiny metallic bowls and cutlery all around a round grill. Nearby, there are heaps of fresh lettuce just waiting to wrap around those juicy bites, plus a colorful spread of banchan that perfectly complement the main dishes. And to make it all even more authentic, there’s a bottle of soju labeled “South Korea” adding to this inviting culinary feast.

USA

🇺🇸 Picture this: a classic American diner table just waiting for you to dive into a delicious breakfast spread. You’ve got a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee setting the perfect morning mood. Right in the center, there’s a stack of fluffy pancakes dripping with rich maple syrup that you can’t help but notice. Beside it are crispy strips of bacon and golden-brown hash browns, making this breakfast spread absolutely irresistible—all resting on a cozy buffalo check tablecloth.
